Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I guess I'll make an apple crisp on Friday. I wish I had some oatmeal. Hmm.

Happy belated Thanksgiving, Canada!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The bit where the pastry meets the fruit is the best bit for me. I dunno, the berry pies don't appeal to me much, other than the blueberries. Pumpkin pie I only really like the pastry with a sheen of pumpkin on. Kind of a waste. I should see what CI has to say on the topic.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

But pumpkin pie is KING.

Teppy is pumpkin's bitch.

If I could eat gluten, I would have already bought ALL of the pumpkin-flavored products TJs is carrying. And we would be bankrupt. Pumpkin is a harsh mistress.

But SO TASTY.

I love pumpkin pie, and sugar cream pie, but if you're talking fruit, blueberry is awesome. And rhubarb is up there too.

Tomorrow the Jay Z will not be an issue because I will have to get up and go work somewhere--today was a "work from hotel" day (where so far I've gotten very little done, thanks to this headache, but better today than tomorrow).

Punishingly Intricate

I don't use oatmeal in my apple crisp!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Pumpkin and blueberry are my favorite pies, with key lime running a distant third.

Grrr. I could have been working on artwork for a client for the last two days, but they didn't release specs before the long weekend and have now apparently piddled all of today away with inaction. So I'll have two days to do what should have been 4 days' worth of work, and the extremely short turnaround limits how much outside help I can bring in.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm at Panera, waiting for my seasonal pumpkin cookie. That counts for this conversation, right?

The interview that I wasn't psyched about went fine. I'm torn between "I could totally do this" and "they really need someone with an engineering background."

Now tagless for your comfort.

I don't always, but I like it.

You can let them decide about the second, and then decide if you want the job, no? I had the call with the fancy org today, too, and I don't know -- I feel so awkward doing the call from work, I can't tell how I did.
