Would tapioca flour work, ita? I have not a clue about its glycemic load.

What kind of soup is it, ita? Does the thickness really matter to you?
Arrowroot is my go to corn starch substitute. I haven't tried it, but maybe konjac flour would work? [link] I don't know about glycemic indexes, would potato starch or rice flour or tapioca be improvements over corn starch? Or, shoot, what do you call that stuff, basically ground beans. Can't think of the name.
What about extra beans or veggies cooked down and puréed?
Tambourine was a hit, literally. Lots of people 4.2 miles from the end like to hit tambourines!
A local won the marathon!
It's a cream of mushroom soup so the thickness is a lot of the texture fun. I think tapioca is out, but a bean product might be good. Rice derivative is only good, I think, if brown?
Konjac would be perfect! Just a matter of finding it.
Caring even a little bit about what I'm wearing on the weekend is throwing me for a loop. Getting dressed is hard.
Eta: settled on an acceptable combination of jeans and a t-shirt. Whew!
I was just coming to post that it's kind of sad to catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror on the way out the door and realize that you aren't even dressed well enough for a 9:00 Saturday morning trip to Target.
I went anyway, since I am an adult and we get to do that, but still
I maintain an aggressively fuck-it-I-don't-care attitude about what I wear to grocery shop. Sweats and crocs are fine! That's right, I have given up, deal with it world.
I'm hanging out with Mom today, though, which requires slightly more effort, apparently.
I have gone to the grocery store braless, no makeup, wearing a ball cap over unwashed hair. Do I win?
