I'm going "la, la, la, I can't hear you" about the dogs.
My friend was out of town when her house burned and her dog and cats were being boarded. I suppose there's a chance the fire department would have been called sooner if she had been home, but I don't know how she would have gotten out four cats and a neurotic giant Schnauzer.
I'm so sorry to hear about the dogs -- that hurts more than losing the other possessions, I'm sure.
Timelies all!
Up at 6:30 when Gary's alarm went off, checked that things were still shut down, and here I am. (Couldn't go back to sleep, alas.)
Here's some bad timing: I just got a solicitation email from the Boston Public Library with the subject line "As Yellow Buses Rumble Down Our Streets." Except, the Boston Public Schools bus drivers are unexpectedly on strike this morning. Whoops!
Rich people are now paying for Head Start during the shutdown: [link]
I'd put that in Good Stuff, Jesse.
It makes me furious! Due to being necessary. JFC.
Well, but it's still a good thing for those kids?
Or not! Your call.
I slept stupid late because I could, so I'm not really caffeinated yet.
Hee. I put it in the queue.
