Nora, I'm still trying to figure out what happened to my co-worker last week. I have googled and googled and asked my boss and so far nothing. Her funeral is set for late in the month, I couldn't tell from the announcement if we are invited or not.
I'll be in the office tomorrow, so maybe I'll get a better understanding then.
Amy, my friend Jon writes bar trivia--he charges $20 for a set of 20 questions.
I hate the non-confrontational people that respond:"do your own research and make the best decision for your family." Fuck that! Having access to the internet does not make you a researcher. Vaccinate!
There are all kinds of whooping cough break out articles out in the last week because of no vac people
You could link her to that website that keeps track of how many people Jenny McCarthy has killed.
As for vaccinations, My mother got polio after the Salk vaccine came out. When I first heard of people saying there might be a connection between autism and some vaccines, I decided that they are worth the risk. My family would get whatever vaccines the doctors recommend. Full stop. And at the same time I do like to be aware of potential side effects.ETA: And now of course, I am convinced that there is no causality from vaccines to autism.
You could also give her this link to a chart that clearly shows the link between autism and organic food sales:

Thanks, Cash. Good to know.
I'm sorry about the suckitude, Amy. I'm not thinking you are going to miss this place.
On vaccines, one of my doctors enjoys showing a graph of how deaths from coronary artery disease has decreased in the same proportion to the increase in McDonald's burger sales. Yeah, correlation and causation two different things.
Just vaccinate!
Clicking through on that organic autism link led me to the following line "Hey baby, I wanna lay tangent to all your curves. Can I touch your asymptote?" which means I'm at twice my RDA of larnin' today, and it feels good.
