'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Amy, much commiseration. And yeah, Ex-boss sucks.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Fox News has replaced all their newsroom desks with 55" touchscreens - the effect is of a newsroom full of tiny people sitting in front of iPads:

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

They need those big screens so that they can see four tweets at a time.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am working on our office's holiday party thing - dinner at a nice-ish place for all employees and guest. I was told to select a few entree selections off the menu to be what we order from and that we try to keep the bill at $30 per person.

I select the two least expensive steak options for my boss to choose from and he says" no, we go with this one" which is a $29.99 entree. Then he points at a $13.99 fish entree and a $14.99 pork chop entree as two of the other options. How is that fair?!? ugh.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I'm sorry, Amy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Amy,

didn't I *just* wish you a good day? I don't understand how my good wishes have turned so quickly.

Clearly I have no business wishing anyone has a good day.

I'm sorry about this. I hope the contract work is enough in the meantime.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They need those big screens so that they can see four tweets at a time.

That's what it takes to handle the truthiness.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oof, I just found out that a pretty good friend of mine from high school died in 2006. Obviously, we weren't close after graduation, but I have very fond memories of him, and honestly believe he was a great guy. I'm trying to figure out WTF happened (he died on the 4th of July) and I can't find any obits through Legacy.com... and I guess there was a tribute website set up at firstname-lastname @ memory-of (dot) com but the whole memory-of.com site seems to be down, and I really, really, want to find out what happened.

Does anyone have any ideas?
