For a fruit fly trap that uses science instead of plastic wrap, put your sweet-smelling liquid at the bottom of any container (I use red wine vinegar) with a drop of dish soap. The dish soap destroys the surface tension on the water, so the flies drown. This works gangbusters.

Speaking of bald (or very short haired) beauties, ever since you commented on it here I've been noticing whenever I see a woman with hair around your length and I can see what you mean. Far more black women of all ages tend to opt for that hair length. White women, especially older white women, run a very distant second.
