I'm sorry, Amy. This has no bearing on your ability to do those things well, I want you to understand. Please don't feel dissuaded from trying for a job you want doing something you want to do
for people you want to do it for.
I wish I believed people always got what they deserved, but I want you to get that, and fiercely.
I am at a bit of a work dead end, and I wish that instead of silently declining a two person meeting, the other would-be attendee would tell me why she's declining so I can stop rescheduling like a plaintive suitor. I do want her input, and if she can't give it today, I need to be told that.
My workplace turns out to be the type of workplace that debuts a new website look and feel at 11:15 on a Monday with no advance warning.
That made me go look, and -- noooooooooooooo! It looked fine before! I barely survived the redesign of the catalog (which I have grudgingly accepted), but -- whyyyyyyyy?
(I hate change.)
I hate end of month. End of month with 2 of your co-workers out at a charity golf event for "vendor relations" makes me wanna punch people. grrr.
That means no phone support, so less time to my month end closing things. FEH.

Well, gosh, I mean, that's like, after most people have been at work TWO HOURS. So, even without warning, you should like, totally be awake and stuff? I mean, REALLY. Who is CHANGE READY* and LEARNING FOCUSED*?
(*actual buzzwords corporate values from my job)
Amy, what a bummer. Dang, I was really rooting for this opportunity too! May a better job find your way soon.
In happier Monday news, I went back to TRX class at the Y and didn't stroke out. And put in a half an hour on the elliptical. Felt virtuous. And celebrated with a cupcake of virtue.
So RDJ has an actual flying Iron Man:

That's pretty awesome.
I'm watching "Divorce Court: Before Your Vows", where apparently the Divorce Court judge gets to decide if you're ready to be married or not. This woman just said she wants to settle down because she's getting old. She's 22.
(Shut up, I'm sick and four hours from being unemployed.)
And the judge just had to tell the woman to stop calling her "Girl."
Burrell, lots of ~ma for your sister, and your family.
