Hey, James Herriot lived in Thirsk. Cool.

Yes! That's him! I knew he died in the early 90s, but not that he died in England. I had no idea where he was born. Thank you!
You're welcome. I'm pretty sure his parents were Robert Cornforth and Annie M. Wright, and they married in Thirsk in 1923.
Huh. That is ... one of those things that might fix a problem or might be completely extraneous. Thank you. I'll have to look more in Ancestry at work tomorrow.
I'm picturing pre-revolutionary Russia with a bunch of tanning salons now.
If husband and I think I have a fever, but the thermometer disagrees, how many times am I allowed to retake my temperature to get the reading I want?
I mean, I don't want to have a fever, but it would be nice to have some indication that I feel this crappy because I'm actually sick.
And now I am kind of wanting some kind of Chekhov/Jersey Shore mash up. Despite being largely unfamiliar with both.
Ugh, I hate that, when you're sick but can't really point to evident symptoms like a fever. I hope tomorrow is better, Dana.
Completely unrelatedly - adding the waterfall to the pond was way easier than I thought it would be. Backyard is coming along. Unfortunately, that's at the expense of the front yard which is looking pretty raggedy.
Dang, Hil is like magic!
Dana, maybe your usual temperature is low, so a regular temp for you is a fever?
Dana,
drink fluids. It is good you don't have a fever. Take it again in 2 hours. Lay on the couch, with remote in hand.
I think maybe our thermometer is crap. Though the most recent temp was 99.4, and I do think I usually run a little cool.
