yay! new kitty!!!
We're back from vacation and I'm trying to figure out how to reenter non-vacation society. I did go to the crazy big farmer's market under the highway this morning and maybe bought things that will mean we can eat at home this week. Time will tell!
The dog is completely worn out from her vacation at her foster mom's place. Hoping she's not completely bored with us when she recovers. That place is puppy central!
Anne, is your profile addy good? I can email you my schpiel on quality cat food.
Profile addy is good. Thank you so much, Andi!
All of the beets Jesse didn't have are roasted and stored in my freezer.
I, OTOH, have all of the butternut squash and misc. greens.
Andi - would you forward to my profile addy too?
Their lives are so short, and they give us so much love, so much joy. It is a challenge to keep the worries at bay, to enjoy them as they right in the moment, lest we smirch their presence with fear. This is my mantra when I hold a purring Harvey: I am holding you right now; right now I am holding you.
We just got a school directory today, is how I knew. (Also, their teacher's last name is Bidlingmeyer - possibly even more German! Also I know a Berghausen family. I like to think of you now as Teppy Bidlingmeyer-Berghausen. Von Strauss. Just so you're forewarned.)

This is how I feel about mine, too. I get seized with the fear of the inevitable, and I try to put it aside and live in the moment with them.
