The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

My ancestors on one side came from Ireland with a long stop in New Brunswick, CA, and did not exactly enter the U.S. legally.

On the German side, my great-great-great grandmother was shipwrecked twice on the way to her final destination. Her diary is infamous in our family for the line "all of my best children are dead."

In other news, kitty!

I have yet to think of a name. On the short list are:

Lorenzo
Cecil
Sebastian
Finbarr

Suggestions are welcome. Unless you are my mom, who thinks "Crisco" would be a great name.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

What a beautiful cat, Anne! I'd be leaning toward Sebastian, myself.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I vote Lorenzo--lots of good, lilting nicknames with that one.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, pretty.

I'm watching a local food show about the food truck that sold me that amazing egg-and-cheese on scallion pancakes, and it hadn't occurred to me that you can just buy frozen scallion pancakes! I need to get to a Chinese market.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

On the short list are:

Why choose? I'm sure you and Cecilorensebastibarr will be very happy.
