If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

A work potluck she didn't even attend! And this is only one of like six I've gotten from her for various reasons.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

One of my grad school classmates really liked handwritten notes. Like, any time I did the slightest favor for him -- the sort of thing where anybody else would just say "Thanks, I appreciate it," -- he'd write a thank-you note. I once told him about an article I'd read in the New Yorker, and he said it sounded interesting, so I emailed the link to him, and he wrote me a note telling me what he thought about the article.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ION, I just got an email from KIVA that I had a balance and could lend again. Turns out from a few gift cards and a couple of donations, I have made deposits of $110. From that I have loaned over $600! so cool. Turns out I have no invited anyone into Kiva though, so if anyone has wanted to do it and would like an invite (I do not think you need one to participate and I do not get anything from you joinging from my invite), let me know.

Also, it kinda makes me wanna start a B.org recycling loan thingy. I wonder if we could manage that?

Umph. So I went into work this morning and took a decongestant to deal with this mild post nasal drip I've had for a couple days. 2 hours, a blinding headache and spasm-y coughing later, I went home and was passed out in bed by 10. I know I got up once to pee (and I resented the hell out of that) but other than that, didn't wake up until 4.

Umph. OTOH, no more coughing or headache.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Also, it kinda makes me wanna start a B.org recycling loan thingy. I wonder if we could manage that?

That's a good idea.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

In this context I'd guess unnecessary tests and/or medications.

That's it, prescribing treatments he knows are unnecessary in order to get paid.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Just got done with my phone screen, and now I cross my fingers that the hiring manager wants to talk to me/set up an interview. The company honestly sounds pretty awesome, and far less batshit than my last employer.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So I am at a restaurant and the staff tells me that they have new salt and pepper shakers on each table. They are the kind where the salt is on top of the pepper and the pepper grinds. These are clear. Apparently customers really like these because they have been TAKING THEM HOME. What the fuck?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

People suck and steal stuff. Because they suck.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to admit stealing a salt shaker while at university. I didn't want an entire thing of salt. And it lasted me for five or six years--it seemed weird to pack and move it to the US.

I found a summary of Teefury-like sites: [link] I had no idea there were so many. But there's a great run of Breaking Bad shirts in there right now. I might need to get part of my sister's Christmas present...
