This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I still have a ton of house-cleaning ahead of me today, but at the end I get to see my brother, sil and niece, AND we get to see Blue Man Group. So all worth it, right?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I skimmed. The Blue Man Group is cleaning your house?

If only! I wouldn't even mind the blue makeup smears, truly.

That's not makeup.

In other news, Pope Francis continues to win me over: [link]

Because books.

Me, too! I just read that.

All the people in my Coursera class seem to have master's degrees already. I'm a little intimidated.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

That is about the most gracious statement I could expect from a Pope about homosexuality and actually rather lovely.

I think what I like best about him is that he's matter-of-factly all about compassion and relieving poverty and suffering. After Darth Ratzenberg it's nice to have a pontiff who actually emulates Jesus instead of just using his biography to rationalize prejudice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I like him quite a bit. He seems like he actually follows Jesus for real.

Theo, that sounds like a great family visit!

You know what I am unprepared for today? Being back at work. At least I only have a hundred and some emails to go through? And many of them are just news stories I can skim and delete.
