Too bad I didn't know about Steph's mom at the time!
My mom only figured it out in the last 6-9 months or so. So weird, because my migraines are just pain pain pain, but no vertigo. The human body is weird as hell.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ugh, vertigo is the worst.
I don't know if there's a non-viral labyrinthitis, but my dad used to go down hard for a couple of days with it, but there was never any talk of PT or anything.
Oh yeah, when I had the vertigo (which they thought was viral), I saw an ENT and the things to do were antihistamines, motion sickness drugs, wait it out.
My mom has always gotten regular migraines, not too often but painful and auras and whatnot, but the last decade-ish she started getting just the aura and nausea (maybe vertigo? I don't know). Her doctor told her it was the veins in her head losing their elasticity, which sounds scary, but I guess makes for less pain. He called them opthalmic migraines, I think?
Completely unrelatedly - the attachment that turns a KitchenAid mixer into an ice cream maker is BRILLIANT. My first batch is not even done yet, but just watching it work is making me happy.
Yikes, Consuela. Hopefully whatever it is you have will pass quickly and without complications.
Poor Consuela. I hope you have the one day version, which at least would be over soon.
I had a very nice day, though not in the Matt way. First breakfast with G&J, who say hi to people, then they came over and saw the house and met Charlie, who only barked a little and then took a real shine to Joyce. The babygate found a new home thanks to freecycle, I made the work Costco run, then napped, then gave Charlie a bath, and now I am watching the flock of 10 doves that are around my bird feeders while partaking of the hammock and contemplating croquet sets.
I've gotten the ocular/opthalmic (?) migraines, where you see spots, and you sort of can't see past them. No pain, though, but they sort of give you a headache after a while because you're trying to see around the damn spots.
I'm so sorry, Consuela. That sounds miserable.
Way to go, Matt. Much more exciting than my afternoon, to be sure!
My fanart tumblr is now being followed by herdeepthroat in addition to fuck-her-throat. I don't really think I came by (so to speak) either of those predictably.
Ocular migraine does sound more right, now that you mention it, Amy. I just remember it had something to do with vision and started wth an "o".
