Congratulations, Steph!
ita, that sounds exhausting even without the chronic debilitating pain. I hope at least some of that gets resolved soon. (Ideally all of it.)
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Congratulations, Steph!

Congratulations, Steph!
ION, I am one with the Congress rage.
I'm actually on a sound stage, tucked back in a dimmer room where I have no idea what is happening. It's very glamorous.
Hollywood!
Yay, Steph! Definitely an early wedding present. Makes the honeymoon that much more happy to know you'll come back to a job (part-time).
The woman who called is the one I had a phone interview with in August, and she knew I was getting married soon, although I didn't expect her to commit the date to memory. She asked if it was a good time to talk, and I said "Well, tomorrow is the wedding, so we're taking care of last-minute chores, but I have a few minutes."
And she said, "Well, I hope I'm about to bring you more joy, then!"
Nice timing indeed. I almost didn't answer the phone because I didn't recognize the number and am SO TIRED of the phone ringing today. Glad I answered it (obviously)!
EDITORS, READERS, BUFFISTAS, LEND ME YOUR EYES:
Walmart currently employ 2,200,000 full-time employees across the United States.
Is there any formation of company name that makes that okay? Any metaphor or company principle that unviolates the grammar? It seems to be consistent "1st person plural" throughout this document (which is not from Walmart, nor mentions 2.2m employees).
I believe that is the UK convention, and I'm betting that article is from The Economist, which rigorously sticks to that style.
Steph, congrats! Great news, great timing!
Congratulations, Steph! Great timing for the good news.
And ita, I don't even know what to say. Sounds overwhelming at the very least. You've had a rotten month. I like Amy's suggestion of running away, but I'm not sure there's enough porn to set things right.
I'm not sure there's enough porn to set things right.
Well, what kind of attitude is that?! (Kidding.)
Also, this apartment is small and crowded and not really a place to run away to. To escape from, yes, but probably better not the other way around.
Work exhausted me today. And now I have work to do this weekend! Blech.
Timelies all!
Yay, Steph!
