You know, I just... I woke up, and I looked in the mirror, and I thought, hey, what's with all the sin? I need to change. I'm... I'm dirty. I'm, I'm bad with the... sex and the envy and that, that loud music us kids listen to nowadays.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Zero heteronormative reinforcement, zero ditching gay cooties?

They are supposed to be in-laws. They're fighting because they don't like each other.

Happy Endings had a gay character that got laid on the reg, and a gay wedding for another character.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Quickest dental exam ever! I have awesome teeth.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am not sure if anyone on Modern Family is very sexual. The gay couple is certainly huggy and touchy.

Because books.

That's not her question--do they get to demonstrate comparable affection and sexual attraction to each other?

As far as I can tell, it certainly seems so. But I'm not watching it under a microscope, either.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

RIP, Happy Endings.

Yay Lee!

Yay Tom!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Where is that on the poster? I'm not asking about the show, I'm asking about the marketing.

And, yeah, I do think it's creepy the parent/child pair is posed effectively indistinguishably from the couples unless you pay more attention than most people pay to signs along the road. But that's not the conversation my sister started.

Lee! GREAT BOOBS.

I am officially in "fuck I have to pick a new dentist" land and "fuck, it's been so LONG" land. Props to you for being a grownup, Tom, and for having good results to boot.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I went and had my boobs smooshed on the way to work, and I got the all clear for the third year in a row.

Right on!!!!

TJs has brought back the pumpkin macarons for the season.

Oh man, I love these so much. I was just there on Tuesday, and they had some pumpkin stuff (I snagged some pumpkin Greek yogurt), but I didn't see the macarons. Must get.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That's not her question--do they get to demonstrate comparable affection and sexual attraction to each other? That's the neutering she's frustrated by, and why she goes to South America (virtually) for more orientation-balanced entertainment.

None of the couples on Modern Family are really all that demonstrably affectionate, but from the episodes I've seen (my parents like the show, so I end up watching it whenever I'm visiting them), the gay couple shows about as much affection as the others. A quick kiss on the lips when one of them leaves or comes home, holding hands while sitting on the couch, stuff like that.

The couple on The Fosters has been shown more sexually, though still not a ton, because it's still ultimately a show about the kids, and they're the parents.
