Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

He eats a little bit-the vet said when he stops altogether we would have to force feed him, but Jason and I are agreed that is NOT an option.

Sorry to hijack the thread to talk about my kittycat.

brillig

Koogie was so very thin in his last couple of years, he was an ambulatory model skeleton, with a thin skin layer over top.

Damn, I miss my lich cat. No other creature has given me such uncomplicated love. All he wanted in the world was to be draped on me somewhere.

Because books.

The thing to do is probably just keep an eye on him, and give him as much love as you can until you reach a crisis point -- he stops eating completely, or something like that.

It's always hard. I'm sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I've only had the one cat, but it was so hard -- and then one day I knew it was time. I'm not sure how, but I'm still sure I was right. I'm sorry.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's only the second week of football season, and I already feel like my heart can't take it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was just coming in here to make sure you were okay, Dana. Jeez.

I'm actually shocked they won. Neither team really deserved to.

Right? But I'll take it.

Now I need to try to recover from that in time for Breaking Bad to stress me out...

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry Scrappy. That's a hard call to make.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Finally got back from my folk's place. I've been having mild anxiety the entire time I was away as to whether my cats would be alive when I got home (unfounded) or if they'd pull a hissy on me and note that I'm home, and then snub me for a few days as punishment. Nope, both in the house the second I walked in the door, Nunya with wide eyes and demanding love like never before, and Ply kind of steadfastly demanding bridge toll payments every time I walked past her, so normal there. My goodness, I owe so much backpay in scritchies, it's ridiculous. They also apparently went on a hunger strike while I was gone, as there's so much food left in their dishes. I feel like I need to take one more vacation day to make it up to them.

Went to the gun range with my dad and lil'bro. My dad is a scary shot. Center mass and tight groupings. I mean, he practices with his bow, but we were using a .45, 9 mil, and a 22, the first two have major kickback. The 22 kinda sucked, too small in the hand and the bullets are so small I couldn't see where the heck I hit the target. If I had the money, I think I'd totally love hitting the range as a hobby. Which is weird since I never really loved firing an M-16 for work (but that might have been the bs trappings surrounding it).
