Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I love old-timey bonnets. I want to bring them back in style so I can wear them.

The man-and-cat site always makes me happy.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Man and cat? Blargh.

I do not want the rest of my today. If any of you would like to have it instead, please feel free.

I sent a memo to a coworker that read, "If you have this job next year and the district still has this bulletin in place, the English Department will be happy to explain you the difference between the language development teachers and the language arts teachers."

Suffice it to say, I've had a pissy day.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have not had a vasovagal syncope episode in forever. I had enough time to lock my elbows out so I don't clip my head, but my ankle isn't the most flexible right now. A bit ouchy.

All that to find out my El Mariachi/Desperado DVD is missing!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I barely made it through my day. I cannot take on another's. Sorry.

Ugh Cass, hate it when I am full of ambivalence about going out again. Hope the snack fixes it for you.

I honestly stayed pissy until I'd been there about ten minutes. And then I shook it off and enjoyed myself. Saw people I adored, caught up with some I really missed and chatted vaguely with other people too. Plus, it was a Taste event so I got to sample food from local places. I got so caught up in talking that I didn't eat enough. Which is a good problem to have when you start out not wanting to go at all. I can make another snack at home. I cannot have those conversations here. Certainly not when I am already in jammies.

I've been working on a provisional job thing this week and I am just stressed because it's a lot of background checking and ... well, I find people judging me to be awful at the best of times in the best of circumstances.

Basically it was a good but really stressful week that improved upon application of small plates of Indian food, barbecue and cheesy Mexican. There would have been more food but I kept talking to people instead. It was worth it.

I had to Google to make sure that meant fainting. I am glad you prepped and didn't hit your head. Sorry about the ankle. Bubble wrap kind of offensive sumo wrestling suit?

Pisser that your dvd isn't there after all that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have not had a vasovagal syncope episode in forever.

Is that passing out? Don't do that!

Just sit on the couch with the bubblewrap gun and turn on the TV.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ack!

Today we pack up and depart VT... I've liked staying here, but damn I want my home and my toys back!

not your mom's socks.

The broken car has been hauled away to be made into parts for other cars. I am so glad to see it go, as I am still working under the assumption that I can walk most places and take public transportation to the rest (Winter is Coming, however). It is strange not to have a personal escape vehicle for the first time since I was 16 and bought my first car with the money I made working at the farmers' market. Even if said escape vehicle hasn't functioned since May...

not your mom's socks.

Oh now that would be fun. Most times what I would use a car for is HPF-pickup related, though.
