The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Completely unrelated (but yay marriage license!): the other night I called to order pizza. The customer rep was going through the info in their database and said, "Am I speaking to Jillian Venters OHMYGOD YOU'RE THE LADY OF THE MANNERS!"

It was adorable. We chatted for a minute, she took my pizza order, all was good.

Today in the mail, an envelope from the pizza place, addressed to The Lady of the Manners, with coupons inside. My fans are wonderful people.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Jesse, I got one of these [link] last week, and it seems pretty sturdy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, that's great!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'll take up to three Benedryl at a time but they don't make me drowsy and I take them a lot. Will dry me out though. I live in a state of constant hydration.

My dad used mom's FB account for a little while after she passed away. I finally had to say, "Dad, I get it, but I'm a goth and I find it a little unnerving to see mom leaving birthday wishes for Pete. Let me set you up your own account."

It was meant sweetly but I was glad when he got his own account.

Okay, yoga was good. Something is blooming that is making my eyes miserable but I washed my face when I got home and allergy dropped them. Oh and took two Benedryl.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Now some of them are emailing me to tell me that it's OK, they can log on to WebAssign now.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You should write back asking if the sky is still blue.

Of course not. It's night.

They can email again after dawn though.

I hope they don't keep updating you, Hil. Unless they can be as amusing as brenda's co-workers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jilli, that's cute.

I did get the haircut, and the lidocaine patches are definitely AMA, because they're two at a time and I've been wearing one on my neck (ish) all day, and they're really uncomfortable. Marginally useful, though. WHICH KINDA HINTS AT BOTOX, YOU'D THINK...

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Burrell, I'm holding good thoughts for your sister, and you, and your family.

Jilli, your pizza fan is cute!

ita !, I don't understand why they haven't tried Botox, unless they need to shoot it into your brain or something. I mean, 24 y.o.'s get it. Unless it's a matter of insurance paying for it, as medically necessary.

I didn't have to get a blood test, but I DO remember in Missouri when I was a kid, thinking I could never get married, because you had to have a blood test, and I was terrified of needles.
