I'm just glad there's a show out there chock full of lesbian subtext that seems to be written with an eye toward the enjoyment of lesbians rather than drooling straight guys.

I agree with erika. I also like it for the lesbian subtext.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday, Trudy!

I have this irrational annoyance for couples who use the same facebook account (Jim n Judy Smith). I think it is because I feel like women are being absorbed in to their husband that way and it rubs me the wrong way.

I am now confronted with a gay couple (who are amoung the first families in my little town where I grew up) who are doing the same thing (John Doe Rick Roe) and I am not sure how to feel about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think its gross regardless of the people. Have separate identities!! (I was also not into the gay friends of my parents' who dressed alike ON PURPOSE.)

My gut instinct is gross, too, but then I was also happy that these older men who live in a small town are comfortable enough to do that.

I also know wives who maintain their husband's facebook accounts, which IO also think is weird.

You can be super married on Facebook and still have separate accounts. I'm just saying.

Here's what I enjoy: When I reblog something from a local friend's tumblr, and it's a Jilli post.

Hah. My mom's best friend just signed up for FB last week and a day or so later changed her account to read Her Name - His Name Her-Last-Name His-Last-Name. As far as I can tell she's the only one using it - and I can tell that because she signs all her posts.

Still better than the multi-paragraph ALLCAPS emails I used to get from her. Some people are not ready for the internets.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Or you can be like my late husband and refuse to friend his wife on FB. Found out why later. Moving on....

I actually went in to work just to get my laptop so I could come here. It was so surreal standing on my rooftop watching the smoke from the Pentagon and all the people streaming away along 16th street.

brenda, I was one of those people. I lived at 16th and Kalorama (Dorchester House) and worked at 15th and K. The Dorchester House has one of the best rooftops in the city and a bunch of us went up that evening and watched the Pentagon burn. Up until February 13, 2012, that was my most surreal day.
