Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh crud, does that mean my kids are getting that whole week off too?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

As for me, my produce was delivered while I was still awake, score! And it looks like I get figs instead of the melon I don't like, most excellent. Also something called beech mushrooms, which look interesting.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My husband is contemplating writing Rango fanfic. He says he's going to call it "Rango Bango." Note: Neither of us has ever seen Rango.

Rango is something I hated the first time I saw it but the more I see it (my kids watch it semi regularly)I like it. The meta is hilarious.

Today's schedule has killed me dead. Too many activities. Too few of me.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm watching PBS tonight: it's a special on Billie Jean King, and the clips of the various journalists and announcers are just... horrifying. I lived through this, although I was a child, and it amazes me how far we've come. It was so patronizing, so snide and sneering. Gah.

Burrell, yes. And kids in other districts (we're in Glendale) will also be off!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

OMG, it didn't really hit me that tomorrow is September 11th. Damn. I will come see you all, but I think I might stay off twitter.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

They need to start putting together gardens and shit. Figuring out how to use what animals they have left. Get out pens and paper and figure how long resources might last.

The episode where they'd gone all Lord of the Flies and had a fight club was DAY 8! On day 14 they finally had a town meeting. IDEK

I did see the one where the tornado-looking cloud was swirling. How are they getting weather inside that thing? Or is better not to ask?

Sometimes? But possibly not always. Rain permeates (when required by plot, anyway) but a bomb meant to take out the county does not.

I was under the impression that the weather system was inside the dome. Though that could have been my mind desperately filling in plot holes...

I'm in an unhealthy relationship with this show. I sit here yelling at the television. I keep swearing I wont' watch it again and then I do -- it's worse than Copper for hell's sake.

If the kid who plays Jr. can act at all, though, he's going to have an amazing career.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I can't write more than about 500 hundred words of fanfic unless I yell, "Oh come on, I can write better than that!" at least once. But then, not since Star Trek: Voyager have I stuck with a show that caused me to say it more than three times. Not that I'm watching The Dome.
