I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

Because books.

There are glass ones in Target, though, that are cheaper. Which I want, because I'm sick of plastic without a dishwasher.

I have failboated my way through today. Mostly nothing serious, but involving a lot of me saying "GOD DAMN IT" and "Seriously? Seriously?" a lot and cleaning up after myself. And having to call Air Canada so I could check in for my flight.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Neighbors have me all anxious again in regards to our landlady, and talking about investigating whether she's been paying the mortgage because she's now making noises of giving it up because she can't afford it. And that if she does, that we should all just stop paying rent and look for other places to live while the eviction takes effect (he's telling me we'd have six months).

Please, don't tell me your speculations and make me anxious when I'm a day away from going on vacation and can't do anything about apartment hunting for another week. So I'll be sitting on that bit of anxiety and unable to be proactive, which would help to alleviate said anxiety.

Shut up, neighbor dude.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

(Aimee, if you are willing to fudge the corners and lid, yes. You could also call it a square prism, as one pair of sides is a square)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Just got back from an awesome TexMex dinner with Dana. Food coma now commencing.

On a neighbor tangent, just chilled on the back porch with my new one across the hall and gave him the lowdown on the neighborhood. Seems like a cool guy, and does not come with his own entourage of loud drunken hags that would be waking me up in the wee hours, therefore a big improvement over his predecessor. Poor guy tripped on the stairwell and sprained an ankle in his first week in the building though.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

On Wednesday, it will hit 90° in NYC, but I won’t care, because I’ll be in NOLA, where it will be… 90°.

Weather here is consistent! And also built for the heat.

Of course, NOLA is also predicted to have around 80% humidity Friday night, so it'll be a bit more like a steam room than NYC.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My weekend was exhausting. Sister in hospital, very miserable and hence emotionally draining. Both kids feeling needy, so also kinda emotionally draining. DH feeling like he's overburdened with childcare so he's snapping at me and the kids--also emotionally draining. Bah! And no stretch class!

Lots of sister news, but kind of too much to update. Too much to take in really. sigh. She's in the hospital. If they can stabilize her, they can start chemo while she's there. But just to clarify, chemo at this point is palliative, not curative. But if it can help, I'll be so happy. She's so miserable.
