You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

To me, Dobby will always be the unpopular but highly charged Dean/Bobby father-issue-laden pairing. Fuck the elf.

Australian Christians, not Australian Sex Party.

In the world that is my head, Tom Scola has his pants on backwards and is wearing large gold chains. He may or may not be in Karl Kani.

I love this image.

Also...IS there an Australian Sex Party? ...suddenly I'm sure there's a porn by that name if nothing else.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Yeah but it is Mars. I mean I really get it. I'm not qualified for a Mar mission. Poor health, not athletic, no scientific training. But if for some reason I was offered I'd be very tempted. Yeah you only live a year at the most. But you live it on Mars.

brillig

And it's an interesting way to introduce organic material to Mars.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There'd be a lot of girlfriends and wives (ex and ones who made it through) who'd be saying "Couldn't have happened to a nicer chick."

Shit man, Colin's a dad. He's hardly the first of my college friends to do so (hell, he might be the last), but he's definitely the mind-fuckiest. And the nearest by at the time too, which is weird, considering. I wonder if they've named it yet. Him. Baby is a person. A big old boy baby person.

Someone at IO9 was wondering about the twit pic, thinking the proportions looked weird, and expanded into the missing space like this:http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18zc3clj8ixa4jpg/ku-xlarge.jpg Until further evidence, that's what I am going with, but the parents don't need to know that.

This is random out of nowhere:

Triggery for violence against the genderqueer:

My father said "we killed a crossdresser the other day, you know?" I'm still touched oddly by his phrasing. Clearly he killed no one. He was no part of it, he's neither homophobic nor prejudiced against the genderqueer--he's preternaturally inquisitive without being fetishistic about what the impact of going against the heteronorm means to someone's life, especially for a black male Jamaican in his 70s, raised very Christian--that's a hell of a cultural deck stacked against him. But because it was Jamaicans that did it, and Jamaicans have an awful reputation (we are not the worst--check the laws on the books around the world, as well as the tolerated and unpunished acts against the LGBTQ minority--it's depressing, and we're bad, but the moniker of worst can be bestowed elsewhere, she digresses defensively), he used the term we. He took on some responsibility for it, not just in the language but in the sadness and the helplessness with which he said it.

He told me, I guess, because I care, and because I share in the helplessness at the idea of a group of drunk guys pulling a man dressed in women's clothes out of a bar and beating him to death and...it's being prosecuted, but that has yet to bring anyone back to life, you know. I believe there is change coming, but it's slow. The current Prime Minister had said she'd be interested in (that's how informal it was) making homosexuality no longer illegal (and that's about how indirect the language was) after the elections, and people were a) worried she'd lose the lead b) thought she was going against God c) suspicious she was taking foreign liberally-tainted money to have such an opinion.

But she voiced it! Scant days before an election! And Jamaican voting is no fucking joke. I have yet to see any country take this shit so seriously as we do. She still won, and I understand it's still illegal. Sis was disappointed in my simplicity and my tendency to be a single issue voter (chance of legal buggery? yes! likelihood you're going to legislate my womb out of my control? no!), but damn. I believe everyone sucks, and a couple points I'm really, uh, het up about.

But we killed a crossdresser a few weeks ago. Why are we so scared? Why do we keep doing that shit?

There is! [link] They have a big honking slowly rotating sign by one of the train stations on my ride home. They're on track to get about 2.5% of the vote in my electorate.

Results are coming in. The conservatives have won government. Bah. At least it's not looking like a rout, as it had appeared to be a few months ago.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Admit it, billytea, you wrote that Wikipedia article just because such a thing should exist!

(Nah, I kid. That'd be a whole lotta work for a mild joke.)

I think if I were to have created that site, it would have touted the Australian Sex Lives Of Animals Party.

Our Prime Minister (Kevin Rudd) is currently on TV conceding defeat, and announcing that he's going to step down as the leader of the Labor Party. That's probably for the best, Labor's greatest handicap over the last three years has been the lack of leadership stability, mainly thanks to his ongoing feud with Julia Gillard. The ALP is going to be best off with new leadership.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Baby is a person. A big old boy baby person.

Ohhhhh. At least now I get who would not want a Wonder Woman onesie. No one I know has had a boy in years!
