It's going to be a very strange weekend. Steve is getting in tonight, visiting from Philly for the weekend. And yesterday his company announced that they're selling the plant he runs (it's being sold back to Merck). So he's likely going to be laid off, and here I am with this kind of spectacular news. Ugh.

Juliebird, all of a sudden I am picturing you at one of those super fancy English flower garden shows. You are going to need a fabulous hat!

I think there should be frequent office visits. Quarterly, perhaps? For proper co-ordination and supervision and inspections, that sort of thing.

You may face some insistence that they should be allowed to stick their head out the plane window, but aside from that I'm sure they'll be thrilled for you.
