Why couldn't you be dealing drugs like normal people?

hip deep in pie

I can't blame Oz on the cat fight...Little Cat Hitler (that's my name for him because s/he's got a Hitler stache) has been hanging out in our yard and taunting. Last weekend LCH was hissing at Clio through the screen door. There's only so much an overly territorial cat can take.

I am a bit to blame because I think I need to play with him more when I can't let him out. But he's also been a total jerk to Clio lately.

I also taught my friend's 3 & 5 year old the word "jerk" this weekend. This didn't seem so bad when another friend's five year old said "douchebag" during dinner.

This must be the title of Natter 73.

They are attempting for the umpteenth time to fix the urinal in the bathroom across from my office.

They've been flushing it for 30 minutes.

Guess it is better than flooding the bathroom per usual?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sue, If there is one thing I have learned from watching "My Cat From Hell" it's that when a cat is under territorial stress, there are some steps that can be taken that are even more effective than medication. Here is a cat deterrent for Little Cat Hitler [link] It's a water sprinkler on a motion detector. It is a bit on the spendy side but it is actually slightly less than my veterinarian charges for an office call. At the same time as you are preventing LCH from taunting your cats through the screens, you can also employ Feliway (pheromones that help cats feel more secure in their territory) inside to assist Oz in keeping calm.

Because books.

My new supervisor just asked me to "bare with her." I was *thisclose* to telling her I don't know her well enough.

She also emailed to ask about "what your writing right now."

I despair.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This is an editorial position?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've got a long day today. Doing all my regular teaching, then driving three and a half hours to NJ for Rosh Hashanah. At least tonight's dinner will just be my immediate family -- the cousins and friends are coming tomorrow night.
