Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I spent ALL FUCKING AFTERNOON at the doctor. Perhaps because my boss kept me 30 minutes after I said I had to leave, and I was 30 minutes late (15 minutes of that was walking inside the hospital--dumb parking gamble) and then waited 90 minutes to be seen--do I ever want to know if that's my fault???

I have to admit I zoned out of the session itself when he pointed at the x-ray and said "That's where your ligaments ripped off." Every time I get hungry I hear him say it and I'm nauseous again.

I do recall:

  • don't work through the pain
  • don't step on any pebbles with it unsupported
  • practice flexing NOT side to side
  • try ditching the crutch at home in a couple days

And then we're back to barf time. I should have just stopped for lunch on the way there.

Irritatingly I still have to work today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I decided to use my 2.5 hours of bonus leisure time from today's early release from the office to go see World's End, which was awesome. The rest of the weekend will be spent catching up on all the things I wish I had one more day to get to on a regular weekend...

That doesn't seem right.

When I read "Ginsburg" I'm afraid I thought you were talking about Allen (who spelled his last name with an e and is dead, so really does not make sense in that sentence).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Irritatingly I still have to work today.

That's just not right.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was thinking trains, but that means I can't get the Crispino pie from Vito's in Westbury.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I would take Staten Island over driving through Manhattan any day - is there specific construction going on right now that I should know about? (Driving from Brooklyn to Hope NJ tomorrow, wave if you pass a red Forrester!) I mean, it depends on where in NJ you're coming from, too.

Lincoln Tunnel is better than Holland Tunnel IME, since the Holland Tunnel dumps you in Chinatown. The Lincoln Tunnel, you can get right on the West Side Highway (9A) and from there to the Battery Tunnel.

What I actually plan to do is whatever Waze tells me - if you have a smartphone, download that app now because it ROCKS. The real-time traffic/incident reporting is the best I've used. And Waze right now is telling me to take SI. If tomorrow it tells me to take the Holland Tunnel, I'll do that instead.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The fact that 94 degrees and 50%+ humidity makes me hide inside does not bode well for being in New Orleans in two weeks, does it?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I've used Waze here after my dad recommended it to me, and it is pretty cool.
