That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm heading out to Colorado tomorrow, and am remembering just how easy it is to travel without a kid. Considering my last time flying I had a toddler, a heavy/bulky car seat, an hour to change planes, and nobody else with me, this direct flight to Denver BY MYSELF is gonna be a goddamn dream.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

do you want a new bed frame?

Nah, mine is fine. I will definitely need a dining table, but if we do the island in the kitchen, I can put my current table in the dr for the time being.

Ha, Kate! You will LOVE IT. My friends with little kids are always so happy on the plane alone.

you know you do not need a dining table just because there is a dining room, especially if you will not be using it as a dining table.

ok, so do you want a new couch?

I'm also not sure about the couch! And I know I can't get to pick one up at short notice without a lot of drama, so I'm being super picky about those. Current couch sitch: I have one, it is sort of crappy. I can probably get my grandmother's, which is also fine.

And yeah, I don't know what I'm going to do with the dining room for sure. I'm 90% sure I'll have my bookshelves in there, but then I don't know. But if I don't have a table in the kitchen, I'll definitely need one in there. And maybe I want to have dinner parties!

I'm also 90% sure I can have my grandmother's bed, and put that in the spare bedroom, where she has a single. Then I'll have two doubles, which is easier for sheets. AND will be open to houseguests that are couples! And also singles.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

75% of the reason that I have a dining table is because there is a head-bashing chandelier in the dining room space (granted, now it is shortened by a D-ring, but still bashable). 25% is that I can't be bothered to replace it (read: can't afford it).

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

When do you plan on moving?
