Because books.

I get it, I think.

Summer can't be over soon enough for me, aurelia.

brillig

Through Facebook I have learned more about my sister than I've learned in 50 years.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my boss really got under my skin the last two days. I hate being treated like I am not doing a good job when I know I am and am taking on things weekly that I have never been trained on.

It just makes me want to go away, like just take off leave for a few days. I never would, but that is where my brain goes when I get frustrated like this, I want everything to go away.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Theo, I've had that experience. They gave me some twilight type med and I remember a nurse talking to me. In my mind the conversation was only 5 minutes long but then they were telling me it was over and I swore there was no way they could have done anything. Very strange feeling.

Rest and relax. Once the meds wear off, your body will remember soon enough.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'd probably be fine with the heat if I weren't in and out of cranked up AC all day. The cats don't seem any worse for wear.

Yes, that was how my wisdom teeth was (though later I definitely could feel they had done something!) --they said count back from ten, I did, and then they said "(Vortex) is here to pick you up!" Like magic.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

If I am driving from Denver to Crested Butte (up in the mountains -- further up, I mean) over Labor Day weekend, do I need any kind of heavy-duty car? I usually just get an economy-size car when I'm renting, but thinking about driving through the mountains is making me wonder if I ought to get something sturdier. Though I'm pretty sure I'll be on major (or at least paved!) roads the whole time.

I've already rented the economy car, is the thing, so I'd really appreciate it if people could just tell me that will be fine. It's not going to get blown off the mountain or snowed under in August, right?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

It will be fine. It's a pretty easy drive.

It will be fine. If it were winter, you would want something different, but this time of year, you should be just fine.

Thanks, dcp and Suzi! I don't know why I suddenly started to worry about it, but am glad to be reassured.
