I remember those! The Swatch guards, I mean.
Totally!
I need to see if I have any pictures of myself in the high-waisted, pleated, black pants I wore every Thursday for years in the early 90s! My Thursday pants! I was trying to see if anyone at work would catch on but they never did.
The 90s are a fashion blur to me. Except for an excellent coat I bought with these great, silver toggles. I still have it and wear it. Best coat, ever.
I remember the Swatch guards, alas, I never managed to get a swatch but coveted them.
I just spent $150 on a balance bike for Owen. He still hasn't learned how to ride a 2 wheeler and he's 9. He has horrible balance so I hope this helps.
I like the idea of Thursday pants very much.
You know what I liked? The idea of "apartment pants."

Oh my god, I need to talk my band into doing Smelly Cat for this show. OR I wonder if I can learn Phoebe-level guitar skills in time so that I could play it solo??
mac has more insight into his emotional states than I did at his age, so I'm kind of impressed.
I wish that I had dressed fashionably when I had the figure for it, and/or that I had the figure to dress fashionably now.
I like the idea of wearing dresses, but I tend to look like a shapeless lump in them. My problem is that from the front, I have a waist and the semblance of a nice hourglass figure, but from the side, my belly makes me look just round and apple shaped. So if I wear something that shows off my waist, I look horrible from the side, and if I wear something that hides my belly, I just look like a shapeless lump from all angles. In other words, I hate how I look.
Oh my god, I need to talk my band into doing Smelly Cat for this show.

Smelly smelly smelly smelly smelly smelly smelly...etc.
I bet you could learn it, lisah, just watch the one with Chrissie Hynde a few times.
