I suspect it started with the porn everywhere but a lot of younger girls (than me, still sexually and emotionally mature) just started shaving and have kept going. Seems to be a trend. Like frosted tips. Then again, a LOT of people are younger than me. So I don't know when it started seeming normal. Growing up, the glimpses of porn I saw, women had pubic hair usually.
Then again, I am bitter I am expected to shave my underarms. I get razor burn and ingrowns (autocorrect wanted to make that 'I frowns' which is also accurate.) under my arms. But I willingly shave my legs every shower because the hair is easy, it keeps my skin unbumpy and I don't like stubble. So even across my own body, my hair, opinions and mileage vary.

My suspicion is that it's a result of how many people are basically introduced to sex through porn, because it was big in porn long before it took off (us, so to speak). In which case, not actually a big deal, just a lack of experience (uh, sorry, keep hitting the double entendres) with pubic hair IRL.
I think if I weren't the mom of a preteen it might not hit my "hell the FUCK no!" button so hard, but as it is it looks to me like wanting to pretend to yourself that your lover is premenstrual.

Of all the places on my body for something like this to happen why did it have to be my mouth? I have had dental phobia for years and now with each pulse of pain it sparks that fear. I know I'm up to date on current dental stuff but it still makes me think all my teeth are staging a revolution against me.
