Those both sound lovely. As does Amy's imaginary weekend.

Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
My neighbours are not the "drink with me" type. But I have watched many movies. I tested Lethal Weapon to see if the Mel thing was too bad. Made it through, but two drenched Riggs scenes doesn't help. He was physically attractive. Then Lethal II came on, and I don't know if Chris Evans could get me through that. It was just awful.
Also saw Alex Sarsgard in two very different movies, and man, True Blood (whose last season promos are all over the place) is not the best place to be introduced to them.
Now I'm watching a Catholic high school comedy/drama featuring Papa Sutherland, the other Dillon, Andrew McCarthy and a pre-pretty McDreamy. I have yet to see the funny part yet. Now all the boys are about to do naked swimming or something. I hope to g-d this is an exaggeration, and would like the comedy now.
Sail, I'm so sorry you're going through this, but easy passage for your animal friend.
I drew one porn. That's a start, right? I think the hands were an improvement. So much more hand study to do...I also have an entire book (same guy) about fabric folds. Which still doesn't help me. I can't work out how things fall by just posing a character and putting clothes on them, only by memory, not by working it out.
Sounds silly, huh?
But then I look at a lot of dramatic pieces with lots of fabric and they totally fake. What shape is Batman's cape in action, really?
Finally roasted the pork loin from the freezer. Cutting down on takeout opportunities, but my appetite is for shit. So it won't be eaten today. Smells great, though--lots of balsamic marinade. It's resting right now.
I collapsed onto the futon as soon as I got home, so clearly I needed to. Then I made spicy chicken-sausage-chickpea stew, which I will parcel up and freeze tomorrow. I'm bummed I can't drink a nice glass of wine yet, though: it makes me feel crappy instead of relaxed.
Jesse, much support on the meds thing. It's such a crapshoot. Dad just got his meds adjusted, and now he's complaining about vivid dreams. Except not complaining, because they're not disturbing or waking him up, so I don't quite see what the problem is. I basically told him we're not changing the meds unless it's actually a problem.
And now I think I will crawl into bed with my Kindle and my to-do list. Argh.
Oh Jesse, I get the lethargy problem. That's a hard one.
Except not complaining, because they're not disturbing or waking him up, so I don't quite see what the problem is. I basically told him we're not changing the meds unless it's actually a problem.
Oh yeah. That's our stance on my father's hallucinations. They don't bother him, so no one's worrying about it.
Am ready for the sofa delivery! Now I bet they don't come until the end of the window, at 11:30.
I so want to go to the Antique Car Rally out at Olde Sturbridge Village today, but a) my not-so-antique car probably shouldn't be risked on a 120 mile round trip and b) no one to go with.
Hooray! They brought my new sofa AND removed the old one for $20 and it's great!
The cats would not let me sleep in as late as 6 am. Even so, I am planning on a lazy day of not doing much. I am anticipating a couple of weeks of extra activity, and dammit I am getting over the flu I want to take it easy today.
ETA: Hooray successful sofa maneuvers!
Whoa, Zenkitty, you were right, they are not gonna call it Superbowl L, at least not in the official graphics. Apparently the "L" is "not pleasing to the eye".
I do not approve of this.
AND, as I had hoped, my father is much better this morning. It's taken him 24 hours to recover from the previous seizures, so I was expecting that, but it's still a little disconcerting -- he could not wake up yesterday, even when the doctor pinched him! He complained about the pinching, but still in his sleep, basically.
