The saddest thing about#yesallwomen is that the guys who need it most are all "I'm not listening!la,la, la,la!" Also some incidents that were gimp opporession are totally lady oppression, too. I kind of had to tell a friend she was a jerk today on FB. Because it's weird. She's like the lady in "Quickie Nirvana" from the Rockford Files...if you haven't seen it, you really should. Anyway, this woman who's kind of too old for it joins this commune and calls herself "Princess Moonfeather" or whatever, which, of course from Jim gets the big old @@. But she's constantly looking for a crowd or a "family" and she'll do anything to get one. But in real life my friend's new "family" is into RW talking points.

IoN, but related to facebook tangentially, the man with the glasses who wants the "Not one more," campaign was the father of a victim, not the shooter, right? Because some jerk was all "Why should we listen to a guy because he farted out a bad seed?" and I said, essentially, that as far as I knew, he hadn't(the "dumbass" was implied.) But then somebody backed up him up, so I have to know if I'm the dumbass.(Either way, the man's language kind of appalls me so I'm not *that* sorry about it, but if I misread things that badly, I need a program or something.Or he's wronger than a Riley/Parker/Dawn threeway.
Maybe if these incidents happened less frequently, I could keep the players straight, also.
You're right, erika, he is the father of one of the victims. He also reached out to the parents of the murderer and noted that they lost a son that day too.
Score one for me, and negative-367 for "If the net says it, it must be so."(Also, because I said something at the time, instead of stewing.) And, yes, I have *some* sympathy for that man's father too...it seems like they tried to help.
Take all the gerunds out.
:" Kate? Is this you?" or just "Kate?"
"Yes, this is she."
Is to be still fucking us over there?
I will acknowledge that I have been told by people who probably know what they are taking about that "this is she" or "it is I" is more correct than "that's her" or "it's me", but deep down I don't really believe it.
I'm having a really hard time with the #yesallwomen pushback myself. Getting a private message about how I'm not allowed to be offended about something crude someone posted on my own facebook wall didn't help either -- bad timing, mostly.
Amy & Beverly, I really like the two wolves thing. I'm going to try to keep that in mind.
ita ! I hope today is better.
-t all the hugs. Thinking about you today.
Is there good timing for being an asshole?
The same Australian dude who used my email address to set up a TripAdvisor account has used my email address to set up an ad to sell his car. So once again I have to stage an account takeover on a not very bright man who drives a Mitsubishi Pajero.
