I don't give half a hump if you're innocent or not. So where does that put you?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Affect is the action, Jesse. Effect is the result. I learned to remember it long ago through E coming after A.

Oh, good one! Thank you!

Actually, according to Richard Wiseman on You Are Not So Smart last week, there is scientific data showing that people experience more disturbed sleep during a full moon. Crazy!

Huh! But this week is the new moon, so it's not that one.

I am pretty sure the problem of most of the people we are dealing with today is they did not plan ahead, they cannot follow directions, and the psychological concept transferrance means they think this is our fault.

Sounds about right.

I am irked at my manager who was like "do you have some time to do this thing for me" and when she said it would be about 2 hours I said yes. So I did the thing, but her instructions were fucked up and the info I needed wasn't actually there for some of the things. So I did what I could and sent back and now she's all "you did it wrong!!" and I'm like "The info I need doesn't exist electronically so send it to someone who is in the same places as the paper files and have them do it!!" Ugh.

Also my car's check engine light came on and I'm supposed to go on a roadtrip tomorrow so I had to take it in (luckily they fit me in) and I need my oxygen sensor replaced and it's $300. Which, I can afford and is not so bad for a 13 year old car, but still. Grumph.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'ma go out on a limb and say that there is oxygen in your car.

There, fixed.

...apparently it has something to do with...fuel and air and ratios and shit? I dunno. It was one of the possibilities when you google "why is my check engine light on", and re-doing the gas cap didn't fix it, so...

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I retweeted a few #yesallwomen tweets but other than that did not contribute cause thought not making it all about the menz was one of the points. I was fortunate in not seeing asshat replies. I guess the people I follow on twitter are not asshats or have the sense to not publicly be asshats.

Really did not need to be said twice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If someone asks "Is this Kate swinging?" is the right answer "This is she."? Do the swings change anything? If I point to a picture in a book and say "Is this Kate?" the right answer is, pointing "This is she."?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I would say, "That is her."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Me too.

Or "yes".

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Washington Folk Festival is this weekend. Weather's supposed to be nice for it.
