This frickin' day. A four-hour training session in the middle of it, I never got my cup of tea, and my 5 person department is down two people (ie we have two open positions - the person they hired for one of them has backed out). It's not pleasant.
I think they weather might be nice, though. Soon, soon I will leave the office and the weather will matter.
Timelies all!
Healthma to all!
Heavy rain with thunder here.
Trying to kick start karate again. Had my private lesson today after missing class for a couple of weeks. Went over all my forms and some of my defense techniques. There are cob webs in the brain but not as bad as I thought. Also did everything back to back to back - so it was a good cardio workout.
At least I had a good shawarma on the way back to the office. Nice little deli, they set me up with an electronic punch card, which I have not seen before - it texts me my receipt and after 5 visits gives me something off (he told me, but I don't remember). Technology!
And now I can go for a run. Presently. Possibly after I set a bit and do nothing.
Benefits of living downstairs from my mother: After A Day at work, I realized she was going out tonight when I saw a piece of cherry pie and a can of whipped cream on the table where she puts my mail. Nice!
Aw!
I'm just waiting for a stream to appear in my basement now.... though it looks like I might be able to get to the pool in the next hour and at least have something go right. I feel like I have disaster following me. I know it isn't that bad (no stitches, no chemo, no horrid reactions,) but having my schedule all disrupted always makes me a little mental, and having it be negative shit really makes me mental.
But my boss left me some spiderwort cuttings at work and I went and retrieved those while it was storming. I guess being stuck at home with the plumber, I can plant them tomorrow.
Aw, mom of Jesse is pretty great.
My State Farm agent is dealing with FEMA so I don't have to! It's just proof that my house is my primary residence so they don't raise my flood insurance rates but any dealings I have with FEMA are loaded with bad juju so having someone else do it is so good.
Errand #1 complete, en route to errand #2. I may need to postpone groceries if it keeps sheeting down rain like this.
You guys, I'm pretty excited about the current Jeopardy champion. I wish she were more personally exciting, maybe.
Oh, I love Julia! I think she's great. She seems like a straight-up nice person.
