Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Much ~ma to Consuela for a speedy recovery, and to Connie and DH for success on the next steps in the treatment.

And ~ma to tommyrot for neurologist appointment.

I just got my stitches taken out. Yay! Now to run errands for the house.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm supposed to have (very) minor surgery for a sebaceous cyst tomorrow. So minor there may not even be stitches.

Really, I'm just mentioning this because for once I'm being trendy.

Speedy recovery wishes, Consuela.

Props to tommyrot for scheduling an appointment!

Boo on the post-apocalyptic doctor's office, Dana.

I too have returned from vacation. It was really great to spend time with friends and not have anything to do for 5 days, but now I'm digging out my inbox and I have tons of errands to run because my flight got in so late last night. Tonight I need to go to the pharmacy for things my local pharmacy doesn't carry, go to my local pharmacy to pick up my Typhoid vaccine before it expires, get some groceries, and do laundry.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Health-ma to all of you.

I'm sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to board. Yesterday was a whirlwind of trying to prepare for the show I'm going to design, all the laundry, getting the house all ready for the cat sitter, and packing. This morning was a whirlwind of tech notes and advance prep at my regular job. I figured why not approach the production manager about the fact that I've been doing a job for six months without getting paid for it while my stress levels are up. So that's done.

And the last 2 days on FB have given me a whole new level of respect for women who have an Internet presence that seems to invite trolls. I may make more of an effort to make positive, supportive comments for them.

not your mom's socks.

Consuela, wishing you a speedy recovery. Vertigo and post-op together -- awful. Sisters are a good thing though.

Tommyrot, I hope you feel better too!

Ack, Dana that would have driven me from the office.

Also, the Situation I'd temporarily handed off while on vacation immediately got handed back to me this morning. Quelle surprise!

I really don't feel like working, but I realized as I went to get lunch that one of my reports is due today (doesn't FEEL like it should be due today, because I was on vacation Thurs/Fri and Monday was a holiday, but it's due a week after the visit happens, which was Tuesday). So I guess I have to.

Because books.

Welcome home, vacationers!

Consuela, that sounds miserable. Hope you feel much better soon -- vertigo is no fun at all.

tommy, I agree with everyone else -- an appointment is a good thing.

I feel like I've gotten nothing done today, which isn't true, it's just all little, nibbled-by-ducks things. But they included calling my health insurance provider and making a doctor's appointment, so go me?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Definitely to a doctor.

One of the guys I work for had been having numbness in one hand and then started slurring a bit and went right in and they found he had a tear in an artery and it was causing microstrokes. Scary.

Also I presume you will be sharing the info for that masseuse?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Aurelia- I don't know your connection to that troll, but I'd unfriend him in a heartbeat. You don't need that bullshit and neither does anyone else. The stuff he posts on his own wall indicates that he really is that kind of person and isn't going to be swayed by logic or reason.
