I'm all up in the law now, but damn it feels good to get my violence on.

The problem is that when you have a burst of some kind in the house it is something you really want to stop quick.

Yep. That overroad asking about the neighborhood for help because the damn leak was getting worse by the minute. On one hand, I'm resentful the plumber will take that much money for shutting off the water, when they could have just *told* me what to do. OTOH, I also get that by just telling me, they would probably accrue liability if it went horribly wrong, and it is their time, for which all 10 minutes of it I'd be willing to pay (nsm $200/hr min 1 hr.)

They have a good rep for good work, and I might use them for a non-emergency job, but I'll be damned if I'll call them in an emergency again.

Oh look, no one painted over the woodwork, fancy that....

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, I may not have gotten much done this long weekend, but I have 16 breakfasts, 13 lunches/dinners and 7 snacks made and in the fridge or freezer, and no fresh produce or thawed meat languishing in the fridge. Still haven't managed to turn my plethora of eggs into breakfast burritos, sadly, but those ingredients should not be in immediate danger of spoilage. So that's something.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm pretty sure my biggest accomplishment of the long weekend was watching half of S4 of FNL today. So there's that.

FNL is pretty important.

I have caught up on what seems like a lot of recorded TV, although there is a surprising amount still on the DVR. Maybe I won't pick up a lot of summer programming this year...

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I can't share the picture, because it's friends-only on FB, but one of my friends posted a picture of a note his 10-year-old daughter left taped to the bathroom window, facing outside. Here is what it said:

"Dear fellow spider, Please do not bite my family in the future. I hope you can read cause if you can not that would be a problem. I honestly am scared of you. I will ask my family not to harm you if you ask all spiders not to harm us. May peace be within us,
Fellow human."

I love that kid, and may have to leave some notes for our own spiders.

I did way too much, but nixed vacuuming. Which might have been a mistake, but whatever.

I did get a shuffle and load it up so I can temporarily free up space on my itouch so I can load an audiobook or podcasts for the MN to SD drive. Debating between Henrietta Lacks, Gulp and Stiff. One will probably fill up the whole roundtrip+ music. *IF* I make this wedding, of course.

Right? "May peace be within us." She's like the guru to the spiders!

t edit Ahahahaha, what if they answer, a la Charlotte's Web?

"Dear Fellow Human,

"FUCK YOU.

"Fellow Spider."
