So many of the "stars" look significantly older than I think of them -- but then, they wouldn't exactly be made up for a period-true tintype.

Did I mention that I have dentist appointment this afternoon? At this point I'm looking forward to having a good excuse for not responding to IMs.
shrift,
hang in there. btw, those stress balls are supposed to work.
Dana - yay!!!
I'm having an imposter complex day with a side of princess and the pea. Asked to switch hotel rooms cause I was just above the conference center's industrial fans which kept me from smelling well. Chick at the desk wanted to help but couldn't understand my problem and thus wasn't sure where to move me.
Thanks, le nubian.
I'm getting a lot better at letting go of crap that's outside of my control. The situation is stressful, but I'm recognizing when I get agitated and taking a break to calm down.
Meditation, man. I guess it works.
Gah, someone's kicked a power cable somewhere and their IPS is beeping. Must strangle.
I love the picture of Dana here: [link]
Me too!
I am not sure if the stars look older because they are not made up, or if the tintypes make people look rougher than usual (meaning that maybe people didn't look so old at a young age in the olden days!)
shrift and sarameg, I'm sorry you're having less-than-stellar days.
Congrats, Dana!

Yeah, I didn't think the pictures were flattering. And maybe they weren't supposed to be. But they all kind of looked like zombies, to a lesser or greater extent. Except William Macy, who looked like a hobo.
Put William Macy in different clothes, and he'd be the perfect weatherbeaten pioneer subject of a tintype.
