I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Goodness, sarameg, you sure lead an exciting life.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty amazed that I could do it - that's over two hours of running for me, and in January half an hour of running was REALLY HARD. Of course, I did have to stop now and then to give Walter water, or convince him to stop rolling in the grass, or wait for a traffic light, but still. It's some really obvious progress and that is super gratifying.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, -t! Go you!

Took me so long to write, I just saw your feat. Go -t! I'm glad it has turned into a thing of joy for you.

It's not so much an exciting life as it just emphasizes to me how engaged I have become in so many communities. An engaged life. And that's a good, if funny thing. It's good for me, I thrive off of it (not the drama, but the connections) and funny because my communities for so long were so small (Miss Louise, Taylor) I always thought of myself on the far spectrum of loner. But I'm not, really. I'm an introvert and independent and solitary, but I love me some community, and quickly gravitate to being an active member.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Flying out tomorrow for a wedding. The festivities go all day Sunday, so we're flying tomorrow afternoon, and flying back Monday late morning.

That's lovely, sarameg. I'm so glad you found that, and in so many places.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Go you, -t! Have you tried interval running for longer distances? My running coach has us train at an interval (for example, 4 min running, 1 walking), and I've found it's really increased my speed and ability to run long distances.

I have not. That's interesting. I'm using the Nike+ "Coach" for "Intermediate 5k" right now. After my next race (end of the month) I'm going to take a week or two to decide how to proceed. Although I have pretty much decided to do a triathlon, but a super short one, so I have a lot of flexibility in what I do as far as running for the next few months while I build up my biking and swimming abilities to acceptable levels. I figure extra running won't hurt.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Wow, that is a lot of drama, sara.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Pool drama cracks me up. In Jan/Feb we had huge pool drama. It seems to have simmered down to pool quiet resentment.
