There is definitely something wrong with my intestinal system, but every time I read any of the diet things, I don't want to do it. But I possibly should not need to poop 10 times a day.

That...does seem excessive.
Sorry for oversharing. I have always been like this, so when my doctor asked me if there were any changes in my bowel habits, I said no. Then I realized that other people did not do this!
I had to ask a doctor how often a normal middle-aged female is supposed to pee, because all I heard was "are you urinating more often?" This is information we need, people!
Sophia, with numbers not quite that high, but still feeling like I was spending all afternoon in the restroom most days, I started a food diary. Which is how I zeroed in on lactose intolerance. Pain in the neck sometimes, but I prefer it to feeling sick all the time. Maybe a food diary would be a not-too-time-consuming place to start?
That is probably a good idea, epic. Also, I am probably exaggerating a bit, and (TMI ahead) I am not sure how to count what feels like the same poop, but is multiple trips to the bathroom
Could it be irritable bowel, Sophia?
I think count trips, even if it seems like the same poop. Because number of trips is relevant in terms of motility and such.
I also have some days that seem devoted to the toilet. I have trouble figuring out what to attribute to side effects of medication. The chemo seems to escalate my irritable bowel to really pissed-off bowel. In my case, the main factor is stress.
Between prescriptions, smoking, and stress, I am in the bathroom more than I'd like to be. But some days it's not an issue at all.
