That's what I'm talking about.
Not literally that story is what I had in mind, but that sort of thing.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I have a new car! My email just popped up with the notice that the car insurance has been changed to include the Jeep!
I hope Hubby left the Taurus on there, just in case something weird happens on the way home, where it will be parked until we send it to its final destination.
After that I'm stuck. Not sure how to narrow it down further.
May I suggest perusing my DH's reviews? [link]
Congrats, Connie!
Thanks Scrappy and noted Theo. I have others recommending Subarus, too.
My Mustang is a 2002 and doesn't have many bells or whistles. Now I want something fancy but not crazy. Probably a 4 door sedan that fits adults in the back seat.
Also waffling a bunch on whether I want an automatic or manual. I miss driving a standard and I want to be able to teach my kids how to drive a standard.
Of course, I'm looking at doing this much later this year. Trying to get something paid off first to make room for the new car payment.
We just paid cash for a '96 Jeep Cherokee, owned for the last 13 years by someone who drove it less than average. Allegedly a Jeep fan who supposedly took good care of it, though it has lots of leaks. It drive very nicely, it's got a 10-CD changer in it, and the body and interior are in good shape for a vehicle that old.
Too bad I can't do a funeral pyre for the Taurus, in recognition of the sturdy old tank it's been. We've wondered what piece of battle equipment it was in a previous life.
In re: Hubby's car, our "son" is having it looked at by a very good friend of his while Hubby's in the hospital this week, Said friend is also a member of the SCA, as Hubby and I and "son" are, so networking pays off again.
The universe likes to see me squirm, I guess.
Timelies all!
Congrats Connie!
Yesterday our dance group had a gig(in Darlington, MD, which is way the fuck north) where we had two sets(one was 25 minutes, the other 50 minutes). This morning I had a doctor's appointment which made me get to work late enough that I had to park in the garage a few blocks away, and ended up on the top floor, so stairs.
Tonight we have dance practice. I get the feeling I'm not going to be dancing much.(Did I mention that it has suddenly become summer, and we practice outside? More fun)
Just checked the bank account. That was a fast way to go through $5000.
so the no present/card yesterday was not just a big prank wherein I get said present/gift today, alas. Then again, not like I did this whole parent thing for gifts, so there is that.
onwards - I need wedding attire assistance. Be warned - body image demons at full on def-con level a billion. I have images of me looking unhappy and not good in two options and am ok with either, but would welcome opinions. Accessorizing is the bigger issue I actually need assistance with.
Anyone want in? This will involve a fb post and snappy repartee with my brother.
Okay, so not only was Clay Aiken running for political office, his opponent was named Keith Crisco, and apparently Crisco died today before the vote count has been resolved? You couldn't make that up. (I mean, *Crisco*?)
