I did the touchups on the banister today. I'm sure I'll find more to do (I'm nitpicky) and god knows the stairs need help now..... And I've got fix up all the wall paint bits.
Sat on the front steps eating a salad for lunch while Loki played jungle kitty in the sun-dappled front yard. He got really into it.
Swam an overcaffeinated couple miles (yeah, I really did have too much coffee today.)
Had a dinner of asparagus and 'shrooms, and a cider on the deck while Loki and Pumpkin hung out. Pumpkin leaped in Anna's tiny window and caught her attention, so then it was chatting while my cats explored her house.
Oh, banister pictures starting at today's (from the whole set if you want to go back to the gorey beginning): [link]
I got a Fitbit on Friday. And I never left my neighborhood and walked almost 14000 steps. However, I was off work and running errands all day.
But yesterday I tripped crossing the street and managed to hurt my wrist and knee, so my mobility is considerably less.
Ok, load of delicates is going and I've got clean beach towels I can resort to if I don't get bath towels all the way through to being both clean and dry tonight. The week is not lost before it even begins, at least.
Thank you. I'm terribly proud and very happy with the way it turned out. Exceeded my expectations (both of me and the potential results.)
I either have water leaking from under my a/c and furnace thing in the house OR a leak somewhere in the foundation. Carpet pulled up in my hall about 5 feet down one side.
and I'm exhausted, spent 4 hours cleaning my mother's sewing room with her (my gift to her today).
Ugh msbelle, that is not a fun thing to come home to.
Yikes, msbelle. I hope Mac recognized today is Mother's Day, to compensate for you doing all that for your mom.
Well done, sarameg! that is a beautiful bannister.
The frozen fruit souffle went over well, and it was a nice meal even if the propane grill didn't work and we had to bake the chicken instead. And my niece drove Dad home for me, which was nice: I sent him off with the first 3 Hornblower books, which I had found in the boxes in my garage.
Now I really need to read the book for book club, although I would much rather catch up on Call the Midwife.
