WTF, Good Stuff is over 11K. Now I'm scared.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Wells, mines - probably neither is great for sleeping what with Lassie trying to rescue Timmy and dwarves working all the time and of course the balrogs.
Both of those favorite things were great! I watched Thursday's shows this morning and I predict you will be rather enamored of them as well.
Wow, that seems like fast growth. But I don't know tumblr.
You did want to sweep the nation.
Home from a long day working the ARP information table at a local city fair. The number of people who walk up said something about hiking a lot and that they haven't gotten lost yet and then plunking money in our donation jar was kinda amazing. We probably got $200+ in donations.
I have whiskey, some dinner, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall on tv. Wheeeee.
Very cool, Suzi!
Jesse is an internet ROCK STAR
We were under 7K on Thursday, I'm pretty sure.
-t, that's fucking massive. I love the idea that people I know (online or off) might be reading it and have no idea it was birthed in a Natter thread just over here.
Never berate yourself for decisions made before coffee
Most of my life consists of decisions made before coffee. In fact, I think I have made very few decisions within a reasonable time of drinking coffee--I only consume it on no decision instances.
The art class is worth it, but fuck. I'm not sure I could get from a disabled spot to my desk, I'm still so bad at crutches, and then I'd be stuck there for the whole day. Four hours of learning about composition I can do while wincing, but actual work? And civility? I'm not thinking so.
I do have 4 status reports to write today...first thing to do, then, is stop the throb.
Back from my CO trip.
If you like trains and mountains and scenery, a Parlor Car seat on [link] is worth the money.
The drive out on Hwy 50 through KS was somewhat scenic. The drive back on I-70 was not.
Oy, my weekend did NOT start off well.
Friday began with my sister looking and feeling sicker than a dog and me freaking out and emailing the surgeon's office. Then her 11 am med vac dressing change got shifted to 1 pm, which meant her meds were off and it hurt like hell for her. And then she spiked a fever of 101.9. Which meant the day went downhill from there. After dinner I took her in to the ER. Luckily the surgeon's office had already contacted the ER and gave them the head's up that we were coming in, so we got a room fairly quickly, but even "fairly quickly" meant she didn't see the surgeon until around midnight. At which point they decided to admit her for treatment of an infection plus surgery. EEP! Then later the doc came back and said "change of plans, we'll open, clean, and pack the wound here in the ER right now." Even with an IV push of morphine that hurt like hell as well. My poor sis.
I didn't get to bed until 3 am. But today has been better, for me at least. Pretty sure my sister is not thrilled with the new wound dressing and cleansing routine.
