"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

My reasoning for giving them a zero and a fatal error is these are issues that my children, grade 1, have learned. My students have been taught these errors forever and I will not waste my time doing it again (especially because we go over them once at the beginning of the year where THEY identify the error and they know when it is wrong).

I want them to attend to details.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's a great idea, Kat.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I love that. Fatal errors is great.

I do about three loads of laundry a week. I probably should do more if I treated my delicates properly but I am just learning about these girl things now. I did laundry tonight and I funded it and put it away, yay me. I also did dishes but didn't finish the last of it.

Tomorrow after our last student party we are headed to Sedona for a mini vacation surrounding Kat's niece's graduation. She's graduating in Flagstaff but the hotels are cheaper further out plus we like Sedona. It'll be a nice little break for us before the summer insanity begins. The SO will leave for tour immediately after that and the dog and I will follow in about a week. It was going to be longer for me, but the SO got us comps for the show of my favorite musician when I was a kid, who hasn't toured in, like, twenty years. His gig is in Tulsa the day after the first leg of the SO's tour wraps in OKC. So we'll hit that, then a recording internship, then board meeting. Then the rest of tour and I'll go see my folks. Then camp starts for the summer. Sheesh.

Our wings are not tired.

I love that. Fatal errors is great.

It would be so much fun to be able to return the correspondence I receive with a grade. Instead I have to cringe. The problem is the jolt that distracts me from the real content.

I get that email (and posts on the internet) are often written quickly and not subject to any review before sending. But school work or words written to impress prospective dates should be checked a whole lot more.

Wow Liese, that sounds both exhausting and a bunch of fun. No boredom in there!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I get that email (and posts on the internet) are often written quickly and not subject to any review before sending.

My boss' emails are riddled with spelling errors. He also ends most of his sentences with ellipses. It's quite irksome.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

At least you should know something today? Hurry up and wait is the worst.

I am still thinking about -t's clean towel for every shower! That is a lot of laundry.

It's quite irksome.

Surely you mean, "its quiet irksome...."?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A well-placed ellipse can be more effective than a smiley.

I'm home. Went to bed after 2 AM, slept badly, up by 7 even though I have nowhere to go. And no beach to go walk on.

Still, it was good to have a vacation.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It really only comes to three loads (one white, one reds, one colors-red-would-bleed-on) that I would be divisding any smaller amount of towels into anyway. This way I have larger loads and make more efficient use of water.

Yeah, but that's not why. Reusing towels is just icky, I don't know how people do it.

Anyway, went out to see my folks (and pick up my Box o' Meat now with extra bacon) yesterday after work. Went for a run with my mom (she walked, but we were on the same trail) and then my dad met us and we went to dinner and had a nice visit. Somehow, (a) that felt like an entirely different day than the work day and (2) after that I was less tired than I was all day at work. Weird. In a good way.

Fingers crossed hard about the house, flea.
