We are going to the opening night of the PBR (professional bull riding) down in Colorado Springs tonight. Just me and my kids.
This weekend I want to finish hanging pictures and art. And spiff up the apartment. My dad will be out here next week and I'd like to show off the new place.
I'm going to finish putting together my new patio furniture, try to work out there, and then I have a doctors appointment. Then at some point I need to work out and go buy alcohol because I invited people to come drink on the patio this evening.
I was going to go sofa shopping, but realized there is no way I want to be Up And At Em tomorrow morning, so we'll see. I'm pretty sure this weekend is going to be a whole lot of not much, plus a massage.
Today: clean my sister's apartment some, run errands like paying off storage unit, dropping clothes at Council Thrift. Need to get some work done for the conference too. Tomorrow: cleaning, grading. Sunday: cleaning, shopping, grading. I'm living it up, I tell you, LIVING IT UP!
Met with the school counseler and we have his senior year mapped out and "locked" in place. He seems comfortable with the choices and continued to take responsibility for his grades and wanting to fix things.
He is also kind of heart broken. He has been the rock climbing teacher's right hand man for the last year and she just adores him. It has been fantastic to have a teacher be such a fan of my kid. She just got diagnosed with breast cancer. They are still checking stuff to figure out how extensive things are. He took her flower this morning.
if the stars align, I am hoping we can go buy a washing machine this weekend. There! Something, well, not fun, but at least something that will last.
Oh Suzi, that's so hard. I hope she gets a good diagnosis.
We are having a beach surf & turf cookout tonight. The last night we have the beach condo. We have managed to sleep there 2 nights! I've been in the ocean once, but the waves have been pretty wild. Supposed to be calmer tomorrow.
DH was teaching a Muslim family to body surf; that was fun. After a time one of the women gave up on the hood because the waves just pulled it off repeatedly. Much laughter. Big waves don't like me. They pick me up and toss me on the beach. They promise 2-3 ft tonight so that will work.
Of course there will be work too. It is a day and work is every day.
I'm sorry, Suzi. That is a tough one. I hope her diagnosis is encouraging.

Sears will price-match other stores' sales, which I learned when our washer died.
