That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Lee, you like salt and caramel, and not lightly sweetened steel cut oats (made with milk and buttermilk) with freshly grated nutmeg and a handful of fresh organic blueberries? Sad to be you.

I like both! Do I win?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Everything but the oatmeal sounds good.

the person they initially hired (instead of me) ended up not taking the job, and now they have someone else who's been hired as an interim director, and they're posting a one-year K-12 librarian position. Anyway, cross your fingers for me, please!

Crossed!

ita's oatmeal sounds great, but only if someone else is making it for me. I'm lazy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I finally found a recipe that requires 2 minutes of stirring and then 20 minutes of doing something else, 30s of attention, and then 10 minutes of doing whatever. And I'm good for four mornings. I'm in such heaven, you don't even know.

Good luck, Kate!

I don't remember wearing shoes when I was unemployed. Go you!

My day started with the check engine light going on in my brand new car. What the hell?! It's going to the dealer today and, obviously it's under warranty, but I thought having car payments meant a reduction in worrying about car bullshit!

I pretty much always wear shoes in the house, because 3 pets means hair everywhere, and I don't want pet hair on my bare feet. So -- gnarly flip-flops, much to Tim's chagrin.

t edit Lee, your shoes are cute as hell!

My feet are bare and I need a pedicure.
