The status is NOT quo.

Well I've had an eventful night. I was on my way to prom (chaperoning, way less fun than Buffista prom) and got rear-ended. No real injuries and my car is drivable, but I won't be going anywhere tomorrow since I have to take the car to the dealership to leave for Monday -- I also have already taken a lot of Advil and a Flexoril to ward off the stiff back and neck I can already feel coming on.

The car is going to need, ND estimates, about $5K of repairs. Sigh.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh man. Glad you aren't hurt! But won't the other guy's insurance cover it?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Whenever I've planted basil , it goes batshit tall and drips basil thingies everywhere. I want spready, leafy basil, not tall! I want to grab a few leaves here and there, not get a woody mini-tree.

I've never grown basil, only killed it, but that sounds like the plants needed pinching early on, two or three buds from the soil line, to promote lateral branching (bushiness).

Yes, the other guy's insurance will cover -- it's more just the number of days I suspect I will be without my car. Poor car.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, Pix! Glad it's not worse.

it's more Wild Wild West. In my head I'm hearing Will Smith singing that, by the way

Yes! That is perfect.

Slept 10 hours, and feeling good! I should still go to bed early-ish tonight as well.

I'm counting a victory over 7 hrs.

Time to get moving.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry about your car, Pix.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

How unfortunate, Pix!

So, I appear to have decided that today's "cleaning" goals are primarily about shoving things into bedrooms so the more public parts of the house are presentable. Feels like a step backward in some ways, but seems necessary given my current engagement with neighbors and suchlike. And that's a good thing, so...it's meant to be a temporary step, I hope it really is.

Also, OMG the pile of shed dog fur I just raked up in the hallway is bigger than some dogs. More volume than any one of my cats, possibly two of them combined.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's Shed Season. Or "Did All That Come Off ONE Animal?" Season.

Just spent $100 on plants, half of which go out front, half in bucket out back. And got a railing plant hanger for the deck, except couldn't find a birdfeeder (humming or seed) I liked.

As soon as finish eating, going to go put stripper on the railing and plant some things! And it isn't even noon!
