I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

If things don't work out, I suspect the husband and I will be having a serious talk about dumping this realtor. It's not her fault the house has taken so long to sell, but there's other stuff about her that bugs. Like the fact that we specifically asked this week "should we be worried?" and she was all "Oh, no, no reason to worry."

I look more rad than Lutheranism

a whole roasted cauliflower

Ever since I started making roasted cauliflower (I put smoked paprika on it -- SO GOOD), I want to eat it every day.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Dana, fingers crossed that it's just a bump as Suzi says.

I am with Steph on the somber palate rather than all black for funerals. I wore a black sweater and a grey/teal skirt for my sister's funeral.

My DH has amazing powers of hyperfocus. I suspect that he and his daughter both have the inattentive type ADHD.

(I put smoked paprika on it -- SO GOOD)

Ooh, good call. I have a ton of paprika that I got as a thank you gift last year, and I need to start using it before it expires.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And just for fun, MIL is having another surgery today, related to an infection that's hampering her chemo. Obviously, this sucks much worse for her, and is in no way comparable to us not being able to sell a house that we're lucky enough to afford.

But today still sucks.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Basically, it was a clean-out-the-fridge quiche.

So smart! I don't even know what I have in my fridge right now. Fennel and a bunch of carrots, I think, but probably a bunch of other stuff I have forgotten about. My inventory system has broken down a bit lately.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh, Jesus. Tim is constitutionally incapable of deciding things. If I ask him the open-ended "what do you want for dinner?" he responds with a totally blank look, like I just started speaking Swahili. So I tend to either offer 2 choices ("Do you want stir-fry or tamales for dinner?"), or I ask if my choice is okay ("Is stir-fry okay for dinner?") And that generally works.

I have the same problem. Which is compounded by my dietary restrictions, so poor M is not only coping with me unable to decide, but he has to remember what I can and cannot eat. Which is why we eat at the same places so often.

Dana, I'm sorry everything is so bumpy right now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Even if I could cook, I'm sure I would be incapable of looking at what's about to go bad in the fridge and making a meal out of them. That's a superpower, to me.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I need to turn in my adult card. The milk in my fridge? Expired March 20th. Granted, I rarely drink/use milk, but DANG. I need a minder.
