I used to be deeply confused by TV news guy Jorge Quiroga when I was a kid. I always heard Ho Dicky Doda.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ho Dicky Doda

Which would be a great band name.

Because books.

Or a 1950s kids show! "It's time for the Ho Dicky Doda Show, friends! Everyone say HULLO HO!"

I was, shall we say, inexperienced in the realm of pronouncing Spanish. And he talked really fast.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

For a long time I thought Vin Scelsa was "Vince Gelsa." And I also thought Shane Victorino was "Vic Torino."

This is like Misheard Lyrics! I love it.

When I did phone support, I would just blank on someone's name as soon as they gave it. It just failed to store my short-term memory.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I used to be deeply confused by TV news guy Jorge Quiroga when I was a kid. I always heard Ho Dicky Doda.

This is what I'm talking about! 20-year-old Jesse: "I have a.... Ho Dicky Doda on the line for you?"

Because books.

shrift, you can ask Cass about the time I thought the lyric "it's hard to turn a wrench on a rusty bolt" was "it's hard to turn a ranch on a rusty bull." Good times.

Love the misheard names. NPR is great for that.

Also love finishing the to-do list from the 80s, omg.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

In mildly creepy news: I think you guys know about this movie that was done, kinda a docudrama about the singer whose vision our non-profit is based on. Well, it's been doing small screenings across the country, and we've had the director's blessing to do some of our promo with them. So this Saturday I'm headed down to do another one. So there's been a certain amount of email back and forth with the booking agent. Only, when I get email from her, it comes with the To: listed as "Rich Mullins." Which, a) Rich Mullins never emailed me when he was alive, much less when he was dead for almost two decades. And b) it's weird for the message then to be from this perky woman named Laura.

Anyway.

I know this song and I can see how you heard that. I think next time it plays that is all I'll hear. Thanks, Amy.
