I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have to do this thing for an interview tomorrow, and it's due at noonish today, and I don't wanna.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Good Friday is Work Holiday, but we have tons on the books to ship. Kinda typical, drivers and hourly workers are used to this on Holidays, they get both Holiday pay and their hourly wages when they have to work. I, however, am salaried non-exempt and have previously been told to stay home. Unlike salaried exempt, I would be eligible for both Holiday pay and time and a half if I work (I think).

I could really use a day off when mac is in school, but unclear what new boss will decide.

FTR, last night's redo of the missing homework was a semi-disaster. It got done, but it was the lowest level of done possible. Misspellings, wrong capitalizations, missing punctuation, not answering the full question - lazy lazy lazy, so I marked up the questions sheet with what needed to be changed and things went downhill from there. I am shocked that I only raised my voice once and I am proud of mac that he did not try to use any electronics in defiance, but MAN. LONG slog this will be. Zero drive to do good work.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Text just sent to my son - "When you mom tells you not to take the horse's head to school and you do anyway - posting a picture online isn't the smartest move."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm having flashbacks to both the Godfather and Dogs in Elk...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh kids.

I was going to say something about being glad we didn't have social media when I was young, but then remembered my bro skipping school and going to the movies, and then watching tv in my mom's room and leaving the ticket stub lying on the bed. Stupid finds a way.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Stupid finds a way.

This needs to be embroidered into pretty samplers.

His response "But I asked security and the principal before I wore it and they all said I'd be in trouble if I didn't".

But kid, I told you NOT TO TAKE IT in the first place.

(It is hat day at school but this is a mask, not a hat).

brillig

Not sure I'll have free time, Connie, but if I do I'll let you know since I'll be in your area.

What part of Utah will you be in?

ION, I dreamed a hurricane hit the town I lived in. For some reason, Polter lived in the basement of my house. When I went to check the damages--moderate but lots of water, and I had to salvage books and papers--Sunil and his mom were in the lower floor doing the same. Sunil, is your mother shorter than you, or was I just inputting Random Indian Lady for the part?
