Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Punishingly Intricate

Jesse, that is good news about the place being available. I don't really have advice about going or not going tomorrow but everyone else does.

Tommy, those are great pictures!! The shelter and those kitties are lucky to have you helping out.

Jesse, I agree on the go with your gut. We weren't there when they transferred Grace from the hospital to the nursing home; our reasoning was that we were going to need more days off coming up.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

hee! This guy

Yeah, that one jumped out at me, too.

So, I have to place a big Office Depot order tomorrow. I HATE OD.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'll be thinking of you and your parents tomorrow, Jesse. That's a big move. I agree with the thought that, if you think you'd be a help, try to be there, but otherwise you can just check in with your mother and see what you can do for her.

I am so tired and overwhelmed and somehow my days keep being crazy busy. Looks like we are going to go to Utah tomorrow afternoon. It's a long drive. Not sure I'll have free time, Connie, but if I do I'll let you know since I'll be in your area.

It's one of the signs of the apocalypse, you know, a man's hair touching his ears.

Erm, my boy has hair down his back these days. Hope it doesn't draw too much unwanted attention. I know it'll be just fine with the family we are visiting there. Even the very conservative husband of our cousin--he's a long boarder with pretty long hair of his own.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I hope you get some relief soon, Burrell. Long overdue.

Our wings are not tired.

That is good news, Jesse. I agree with the thoughts above. You will know what you need to do.

Burrell, I hope the Utah trip includes some moments to breathe.

It is so hard watching someone you love making bad choice after bad choice. And now those bad choices are finally creating bad consequences and the person won't clue into the connection in choice and result. I know nothing I say or do will make a difference and it sucks holding my tongue.

I know that one. Except I apparently suck at holding my tongue. I guess I have to get it out although I know it won't change anything.

Also, KITTIES! I have been holding off until I move, but I miss having my kitty.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, my mother says for sure it's fine not to go today, and we can go tomorrow after work. And Saturday and Sunday. I pointed out that I don't anticipate going every day, going forward.

Now I want a cat. Preferably in a basket.
