I'm sorry, Sheryl.
Juliebird, I'm glad you didn't have to deal with paid intern's extended shenanigans. Wishing you much success with the next one.

So Tropical Cyclone Ita, equivalent of a Cat 4 US, is about to hit the part of Far North Queensland I traveled around. Cooktown has evac'd their hospital and is looking at severe damage. [link]
Laura,
My aunt is around, but she's been taking care of him since he got sick. My folks will be heading back to CT in a week, so hopefully they will get to see him.
I'm glad your parents are able to go. Hospice care is a huge help to families.
I would not want to be anywhere near a Cat 4. I'd stay home for a Cat 2, anything higher than that and I am hitting the road. Maybe even a 2 if I knew it was going to be a direct hit in time. At least with hurricanes we get lots of advance warning, although Wilma was not expected to cross state and wallop us like it did.
Tonight I decided that I need to refresh my fingernail polish collection, and also my fingernails are now teal.
Sheryl, I have a guest room, and I live in Hartford, so if it would be helpful, you (and Gary) are welcome to crash here.
I have bronchitis and an interview tomorrow morning at 9AM. Bah.
It's not that bad, as illnesses go, but I'm still irritated. And my case of the don't-wannas is acute.
I am really loving the fucking tourist series.
Those are amazing! Why is it that photos in Cuba are always so fucking gorgeous?
News this morning is that Cyclone Ita may be upgraded to a 5.
